Christmas made of paper

You’ll know it’s already christmas when you see decors all around you. Lights, trees, ornament balls, wreaths and all those that makes you feel like a child once again.

One thing I’m good at is using paper in all sorts. Last year, I tried making a paper christmas tree for Yellow Hauz and in the studio. Now I may have added few more in the family. I added more colors plus paper snowmen and snowflakes too.

Oh I’m feeling a lot more like christmas now. They may not be made of real pine tree nor with snow but these paper decors are still adorable as ever. I’ll be posting them on my shop if you want the actual one and on Etsy if you want the printed file.

Which one is your favorite? Seriously, if you ask me, I can’t decide. Next, I’ll show few decors I did for Yellow Hauz.

Artisan Paperie + Blogworthy

Sometimes I really wish I live in Manila, because all the creative things I know are all there. The creative workshops from rubber stamping, calligraphy to developing a successful blog.

Although I can’t be there physically, but my products are very much lucky to be part of a great collaboration. Artisan Paperie is very proud to be part of Blogworthy. Hosted by Arriane Serafico of Wanderrgirl.

If you’re wondering what I made for Blogworthy… here’s a sneak peak. I designed and printed a chevron to-do notepad set. I was a bit embarrassed because I sent these just the other day because of my hospital incident.

I really hope this will look good in their loot bag and that her students would enjoy using it. Mansy of Hey Kessy is also part of the collaboration. Oh how I wish I can join Blogworthy next time. I’ve seen some photos and it look so much fun. In the meantime, let my notepads enjoy the new inspired students of Arriane.

I’m part of a Design Team

I’ve been holding my breath to share this with you and boy I’m so glad I can finally say it… For the first time, I am part of a design team. Yes, you heard that right and I can’t hardly imagine I made it.

You see, I can say, graphic design is my strength, but scrapbooking literally is definitely my downside. I am not very good with mixing different embellishments physically. But I just tried submitting a tutorial for a Mother’s day card as my entry for Rochelle’s {my craft disneyland buddy} website called Let’s Make Greeting Cards.

Read the tutorial to see how I made this

I never thought it was so fun. It was something new and quite exciting actually. Gladly, she loved what I did and I really feel so honored to be part of her team. We are all 8 card designers {wow, I can’t believe I just called myself a card designer, hihi} and we will be submitting tutorials on how to make various cards for different occasions for the next three months. On top of that, Rochelle, will be giving us free kits to work on with. Now that’s more making me more anxious. So I’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, get to know more  the other 7 designers by checking their work and blogs.

When a new year comes, calendars are always the popular gifts, and on the other note, it never gets old. It’s simply practical, functional for the whole year round, all the more, if you have it custom-made. That’s why, before the christmas break, a client ordered these for a family giveaway.

Vintage Newspaper Poster

10-years had past and it’s our high-school reunion once again. I can’t believe how time flies and it’s already been past 10-years since my high-school days.

I was happy when one of my batchmates assigned the design for me. It would be my honor to be part of the high-school reunion. I was not really active in any activities back in those days so I’m trying to make it up now.

I came up with a vintage gazette design for our poster. The photo was our famous Talisay tree. That’s where students mostly hanged-out after school. Well, there’s no where else to go to back then.  Anyway, vintage is my forte {if I may say}, and I just thought, a newspaper headline would make a perfect idea for the design, don’t you think so?

Well, I was really happy that they loved the design. I did too actually. It looks old and classic. One of my batchmates Noche said, it gives the feeling as if we’re like Don and Doñas {spanish term for rich old people}, except that we’re not old {yet-haha}. I do hope the rich applies but still not for me, but I think for some it does.

What’s great about a reunion is you can reunite with your old friends {obviously!}. And so I called up my high-school bestfriend Dimple, if we can go together. Unfortunately, our 3rd bestfriend went abroad already, so it would be just the two of us. It would have been nice to see the complete gang. But I know, it would still be fun. I just do hope, I’ll be lucky again to win some prizes….
