DIY: Teabag and Cookie bag

Last 2 weeks ago, I celebrated my birthday and I prepared some lovely and simple souvenirs so my friends can take home with them. I’m always a fond of repacking things, so what I did was I repacked some tea and cookie and made it more customized.

Here are the things you’ll need:

• Tea bags and Cookie { I used Twinings green tea and Quacker Oats Chocolate Chip}

• Small Glassine or Brown paper bags

• Rubber Stamps and Stamp pad {my stamps were bought from my travels abroad, but you can simply buy thru Etsy or from your local craft stores}

Printable Tea Bag label

How to do it:

1. Get your fave rubber stamps and stamped it on a glassine/brown paper bag. I placed it at the bottom part so it won’t be covered when it’s folded. I used thank you stamp for the cookie and the merci rabbit for the tea.

2. Print and cut the Printable Tea Bag label. I also added a placecard on the print or you can use it as a gift tag as well. Handwritten with notes or your menu or guests’ names.

3. Then replaced the label from the teabag and put it inside the glassine bag without the original packaging. For the cookie, simply put a single cookie inside the glassine bag.

And this is how it looks… this is definitely great for tea parties or intimate gatherings. I placed it beside the plates so my guests can see it right away.

DISCLAIMER: This template is for personal use only and not for commercial. Flower image is a clipart and all tea bags and cookies are repacked. If you want to use this DIY, kindly link back from this post.

Milk Tea Love

Barista maybe my part-time job in our coffeeshop but I only have at least one coffee or even none in a day. However, there’s one drink that I can drink as much as I can in a day… and it’s milk tea. I remember when we were in Singapore, not a single milk tea store will passed by without me buying there. I’ve really gone crazy with it.

Gladly, Philippines is becoming a tea lover now. And luckily, I have a coffeeshop where I can have the milk tea in the world. What I’m trying to say is… Yellow Hauz is now offering Milk Tea {seriously having one right now}.

Yellow Hauz has 3 different flavors: Classic Milk Tea, Taro and Wintermelon. And you should also try the Chocolate with Rocksalt and Cheese {plain chocolate, no tea}. You can choose your sugar level from 25-100% and various toppings of Milk Pudding, Egg Pudding, Grass Jelly, Nata de coco, Adzuki Beans, Coffee Jelly and of course the famous Black Pearls.

Imagine how many cups I can consume in a day or in a week… I don’t even want to count it… yeah, that’s how crazy I am with it, lol… I hope you’ll enjoy your milk tea as much as I did…

28 wasn’t bad afterall…

And the day came when I had to face reality that I’m already 28. Honestly, it wasn’t bad as expected it. After my serene morning, the night was a bit chaotic, but handling it well, lol.

I organized a mini dinner party with my friends. Took this opportunity to prepare a table setting, have my own invitation and souvenirs. The hardest part was I can’t decide how to design my own party {shockers!}. But I sticked to my style: classic and simple as usual. Teal Green and Gray was my motif and white flowers for the accent.

While I was lying under the shaded trees of Pearl Farm, I drew a sketch of my table setting, listed the things I needed and visualized how to make it pretty.

Visualizing my table setting

Of course, I had to make my own invitation, just for the sake of having one, lol. This was just sent through email so I wouldn’t have to print it, hehe.

The set-up turned out pretty nicely as I planned, but unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the whole thing. I’m thinking of doing a second round for another set of friends as my treat and to take a photo again, hehe. I had some few shots though and Chiche made a collage via Instagram.

I made some simple DIY souvenirs like cookie and tea, which I’ll share later. Folded some printed napkins and added a flower on it. Made some juice and put in a bottle. White flowers on plain jars in the middle of the table. Menu was just simple but Heintje gave me lechon {roasted pig} in behalf of his absence {he went to GenSan for a wedding shoot}, and the dinner got more exciting because of it, lol. And of course, my sweetest sister {coughing}, baked my ever favorite iced-boiled vanilla cake. Even though she hated iced-boiled, she did it very well and beautifully.

Iced-boiled Vanilla cake is the greatest cake ever, thanks sis, mwah

The night was simply chatting with friends, eating our hearts out and trying to ignore reality that the next day was the opening of Sabroso Food Market, hehe.

Thank you to all who greeted me on facebook, instagram and through sms, I feel so loved and special… truly made my day extra special, like halo-halo with ice cream.

Just the day before my birthday

I can’t believe how days just went by like a wind. Missed almost two weeks of blogging. So I thought, I might divide my story into two posts. Well, if you still remember my down days {still feeling it once in awhile, but I’m feeling better lately}, because my birthday was coming up… well it finally came. Last April 14, I turned 28. Eeeek, I don’t like the sound of it, but 8 is a lucky number so who knows right?

That week was such a manic time, a lot of things happend from preparing for Sabroso food market to preparing my birthday dinner… but despite that… Mama, Sandy and I spent the night at Pearl Farm, just a day before my birthday and 2days before the food market. It’s my birthday afterall, so a little break was a privilege, lol. {Thank you gang2 Chiche for understanding and taking care of Sabroso’s needs while me and Sandy were chilling, lol}.

Famous Pineapple Juice... my fave.

Pool in front of their restaurant

As we arrived there in the afternoon, the day just flew faster… We had our dinner in our room, and got a birthday cake from Pearl Farm courtesy of our friend Apple Chua {thank you my dear Apple, too bad your plan to embarrassed me with 10 singing waiters in the restaurant failed, hehe}.

On the morning of my birthday, it was simply chilling on the beach. Having coffee for breakfast… lying down under the shade {I’m scared of the sun, lol}… and taking photos of myself {to record the 28 years of my darn face}.

Who couldn't t relax if you have a view like this from your room?

Nonetheless, it was spent peacefully and most of all with my family… Can’t help missing my papa. Don’t want to feel emo about this… so let’s move on quickly.

As we went back home in the afternoon, reality starts to kick-in. Time to prepare for my dinner party and for the necessary things for Sabroso food market.

Package time

I get giddy everytime I have an order outside my city… I just love preparing packages, write some notes and add some freebies to my orders. The big one will be sent to Manila and the small one to Atlanta. I just love the feeling sending my designs to other places.

I wanted to add a doily or more embellishments but apparently, I run out of stocks. So stamps will do the trick…

Off they go to the post office

A simple thank you card and a freebie inside my little package

Of course, part of the fun in sending packages is to add some custom address stickers.

How do you pack your packages? I’m such a package fanatic, I hope you can share your style too…
