Cupcake Invitation

Here’s what keeping us busy lately… a cupcake invitation for Niau..

The size is around 5.5×3.5-in., and we made the photo pop-up to make it fun. I intend to add more pop-ups and embellishment, but we had a little time constraint. But I think, it looked okay, don’t you think so?

I also added this in my Etsy shop, Artisan Paparie. Should you wanted something like this but different, you can always email me at designsofartisan@gmail.com

Christmas Handmade Craft: DIY Christmas Tree

I thought I’d share my version of the DIY Christmas Tree I posted last time. I was lucky to have a large format printer so I was able to make the size bigger than A4.

I printed 2-designs and placed it in my studio.

And the other one in Yellow Hauz.

If you want these designs you can download them here: Green, Polka Dots. However, please note that I have to resize it to A4 to fit any desktop printers. In case you have a larger printer, let me know so I can give you a larger file instead.

How To:

• Print at least 2 sets per design, to form a 4-sided tree.

• Glue one side from the other. Cut edges for a cleaner look.

• Add some embellishments.

Have fun making them…

Christmas Handmade Craft: DIY Hot Chocolate for Gift

What I love about handmade is you can feel how special the gift was made. No matter how simple and not so expensive, you can always see so much effort and love with it.

Well here’s a nice thought if you’re still looking for a DIY holiday gift idea… who can ever resist a hot chocolate on a cold season? Specially, when you packed it like this, I’m sure it will not only give more warmth to whomever you wanted to give this but they will definitely feel the love you put into it.

I really love how Kirstin came up with this idea. Just put your favorite hot chocolate mix, add some mallows and cookies on a jar. Then wrap it with a paper doily and yarn, and that’s one lovely gift. The note just added more love from this pretty jar, don’t you think so? Check how she did this DIY hot chocolate on a jar here.

2011 Holiday Guide by Discover Paper

I was so eager of the release of 2011 Holiday Guide made by Donaville of Discover Paper {one of the fave blog about paper inspiration}. And here it is and I would love to share it with you, not only because my planner photo was a part of it {yes, yes, yes! I’m part of it, and I’m so happy about it!}, but because it’s totally the perfect guide for this season. It’s full of beautiful gift suggestions and links of paper goods, from calendars, journals, notepads and cards, not just for ladies but even for men and kids too.

You’ve probably seen this around because it totally became popular on its first day. You can see the hard work that was put into it and the items and photos were just so lovely. I’m trying to control myself from shopping a lot.

I’m really really happy to be part of Donaville’s 2011 Holiday Guide. It was such a pleasure! It was actually the first time I had the courage to send my photos. I was a bit nervous then, wondering if she’ll like them or not but now I just feel so proud, hihi. Go check the holiday craft on the latter part, I’m sure you’ll enjoy making it. Always check her blog for your everyday inspiration.
