Party Bus in the house!

I went to Gensan and Marbel last month to helped out for an engagement video shoot of Green Tomato Weddings for Jimmy and Vanessa. And boy it was really tiring. We were shooting up until 2am and drive back home about an hour to Gensan from Marbel.

But it was all worth it when we saw the outcome. This may not be the common engagement video since it has an usual concept and settings-bus {in relevance with their business}. However, the love story is still behind the concept.

I couldn’t say anything more. Better yet, you watch it and let me know what you think… Edited by Heintje {my partner in StudioBooth}. Conceptualized by Jason and Joanne {his partners in Green Tomato}.

Excited for a Convention

Totally excited this coming weekend… you see, last year, I found out by chance about this multi-media convention, it’s called Graphika Manila. They have speakers all over the world and even local artists like Arnold Arre and wife Cynthia Arre, Underground Logic and Rocketsheep Post, sharing their ideas, and how they come about with their art and their inspirations. I didn’t know about these people/company before but when I heard about their work, I was really amazed and proud for Filipino artists. And I can’t wait for it again this weekend…

One thing I love about it aside from learning and meeting interesting people… is the goodie bag, haha. And I just love everything in a tote bag. It has a book about all the speakers, pencil, magazines, and other paper goodies. I wonder what it’s gonna be this time.

If you’re following me and you’re also going there, I would love for you to say hi.. Hope to get nice photos and blog about it next week…

I’m still here…

Hello… I’m still here… and I know, I have not been blogging again… and I can’t believe it’s almost end of the month already. Can somebody please delay the time… there’s so many deadlines I have to meet and I have so many things to do.

Anyway, as much as I want to delay the time, I’m also quite excited for this coming weekend and for August to come. First of… Graphika Manila is here again. That’s why I’m excited for this weekend, because I’ll be attending it… definitely wouldn’t miss it at all. Secondly, this end of August, my family will be going back to Taiwan for another family vacation. That I’m really really excited about. I can’t wait for the never-ending Milk Tea and all those cute nonsense stuff you find in a very cheap price.

I took this photo in Taiwan.

Anyway, I also had a dilemma with my new site few days back. So, I can’t figure out how to customize it and make the changes I wanted. The site template I wanted, doesn’t have a sidebar for a blog post. But very nice for a website. So I’ve been contemplating, {I’m really using that term, because it’s really making me crazy. So I reflected about it, haha}, what do I really want? I listed down and check the sites/blogs I love reading and compared what I like.

These are the things I considered… I do want my own site, where I can have a gallery of my designs and a shopping cart for my paper line, Artisan Paperie. On the otherhand, I also want my blog to be my main page, but with more plug-ins in case I want to expand. Gladly and thankfully with my favorite blogs, they really give a great insight for me, hihi. They have their own site and a separate blog site but connected to each other.

Here are my final urls: www.designsofartisan.com is my website. But I made another url for my blog which is www.designsofartisanblog.com which is still connected with my site. Thank you oh hello friend for the inspiration for this.

Again, I’m totally sorry if you find any glitches on both sites. They are still under maintenance by me, and I’m still trying to figure out how to customized the design. But nonetheless, I’ll start posting again now… =)

Choosing a Wedding Theme

As I’ve said from my post about Wedding Motif, you can go away with wedding themes. Whenever I asked my bride clients what’s their wedding theme, some would normally say they don’t have one. Even I wouldn’t probably have one either.

However, this can definitely add some drama to your special day. Even so, choosing your wedding theme is not easy. That’s why couples opt not to have one instead. This is also to simplify the preparation. However, we can actually find little ways to make the planning uncomplicated.

Here are the keynotes on how to decide in choosing your wedding theme:

Find your personalities or what you both love.

– Some couples correlate their theme according to their personalities. This is one thing you can consider so you won’t have to over-think at all. Let’s say, both of you loves to travel, or you wanted to travel the whole world together someday, a travel theme is definitely ideal for you.

– You can also use an event from your relationship that meant something for both of you. Maybe you met on a beach. Then, why not have a beach wedding, right?

– If you have decided from this keynote, themes based from your personalities are commonly used. But nonetheless, this is your special day, regardless it’s common or uncommon themes, it is still special for you. I’ll give few examples of the themes based on your personalities or what you love:

 • Add a little spice.

– On the other side, couples tend to choose an outrageous or out of the blue themes. But somehow, it has nothing to do with their personalities. And this is a one way ticket for them to try something different. Although, it may have something to do with the couple but these themes are quite unusual.

• Use the familiar.

– Oftentimes, couples used the familiar things we saw in our everyday life. This is actually easy and cost effective since technically, we don’t need to exaggerate the preparation.

 • Your motif can be your theme.

– We sometimes confuse ourselves with a lot of things. Instead of still thinking about your theme, you neglect that you can use your motif as your theme as well. Using colors can also make your life easier. Let’s say, you really couldn’t decide which theme suits you best. Or otherwise, you don’t want to have a theme. Then simply use your color scheme.

I hope by now, I was able to help you decide on what theme to use for your wedding. Or at least by giving you these keynotes, it made you decide not to have one instead. Honestly, wedding themes are not for everyone. By eliminating what you don’t like is a good practice to know what you truly want to have. Sometimes, sad as it may be, it’s easier for us to point out our dislikes. But on the contrary, through this, our ideas may become clear.

As I may suggest, before you start buying the materials or anything for the preparation, focus on what you have decided. Along the way, other themes may definitely distract and tempt you on buying the unnecessary things. Having a focus for your day will definitely keep you from over spending.
